Cancellation Policy

No cancellation fee will apply if the booking is cancelled seven days during the peak season or three days during the low season or more prior to guest arrival.


One night accommodation booking will be charged as deposit through your credit card to secure your reservation within seven (7) days prior to your arrival during the peak season or within three (3) days prior to your arrival during the low season. Any deposit charge through your credit card is not successful within seven days (peak season) or three days (low season) of your arrival may result in the booking being cancelled without notice.  The rest of payment is processed upon arrival via your preferred payment method.


Cancellations within 7 days (peak season) or 3 days (low season) of arrival or in the case of a no show will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee. The total cost of the reservation will be charged to the credit card number held on file. Refunds will only be made to the credit card debited for the original transaction.


Changes in reservation term: Any change in reservation term will be treated as a new booking and additional charges may apply. Any extension to a booking is subject to availability of rooms. Earlier departure than the reserved date may not result in a refund unless the motel management approve and are able to relet the booked accommodation.Date changes are subject to availability.


The full costs of, behavior resulting in loss of income, damage to motel property and any cleaning and restoration work, over and above normal cleaning, will be charged directly to the group.  


Smoking: In the event of someone having smoked in the room we will engage a specialist cleaning company for the fee of $300. We reserve the right to charge such costs and any resulting loss of income to the registered guest.


General: Visitors are permitted at the management’s discretion. The registered guest is responsible for the behaviour of all persons/visitors whilst on the property. All deliberate or reckless acts that result in damage to our property and any costs associated with inappropriate behavior resulting in loss of income to Takapuna Motor Lodge, will be charged to the registered guest.


Overdue Accounts: All accounts are payable on arrival.


Check in time from 2:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Rooms are to be vacated by 10.00 AM on day of departure.


Definition

Peak season is from November through to end of April, including any NZ public holidays, weekends, school holidays, and any special events. 

Low season is from May through to end of October excluding NZ public holidays weekends, school holidays and any special events.
